Dreaming Spirals

Yesterday I finished 10 more postcards which have been in the pipeline for ages. First I made the background of painted calico layered with sheers and sparkly fabrics, then I appliqued the houses, painted them with acrylics and outlined them with a Pigma pen. Yesterday I finally quilted them and finished them off, made them into postcards instead of intricate rectangles of fabrics. It was nice to be back in the studio after so many weeks of playing around with html and css, websites and blogs…

They are all for sale for £15.00 and I can send them either blank in a jiffy bag or stamped with a message through the post.

I am slowly replacing the photos in the archives. January and part of February is complete. It is going to be a slow business. Here are a few inspirational ones I found while trawling through the others…

No Christmas decorations for us yet! Zachary asked today if he could do it at the weekend but I think I’ll try and hold out for another week. There are quite enough reminders in the shops as it is…. If I take him to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire he may forget. Besides, I want to see it!

I’ve been very busy replacing the photos in the archives, which don’t seem to be working as they are. There must be some mistake in the code somewhere. Anyway, I found one from our holiday in France last year which is fun for its lines and angles:

The kids got very excited this morning! I’ve never seen a teenager get out of bed so fast…. this was the view from our window:

I’m planning to move this blog to Wordpress soon on my website. The new blog is up and I’ve been busy reading instructions how to import all the posts from Blogger. So when I’m feeling brave - and foolish! - I will give it a go! Hopefully … always hope…. this will go seamlessly… But probably - it won’t! So just in case I disappear for a few days, that’s why!

The new blog’s URL is http://www.lizplummer/com/blog if there are any problems. Not much there at the moment but that’s its new address. Don’t click on the ‘blog’ button on my website yet because that still leads to this one, but I’ll change it if all goes to plan. The RSS feed is: http://lizplummer.com/blog/feed/ . At least, that’s what works with Awasu!
