Christmas rush…

I haven’t had much to post recently because I’ve been too busy … Cubs seems to be taking up a lot of time. In half an hour or so I’ve got to go and accompany a load of cubs and beavers on a Town Trail round the town centre. I hope the quiz questions are different than the last two years… We have to go round answering questions from shop windows and street detrita. Or should that be paraphernalia? At least it is not raining like last Thursday’s cubs. Why do they seem to have so many more activities in the run up to Christmas? They are doing Scout post this year too, so on Wednesday we have to go and sort it; deliver various cards to certain streets… then it’s the carol service on Sunday, more sorting next week and their Christmas party later in the week. Not to mention the school concerts and parties. The kids have a better social life than I do!

The jacket is progressing. For some reason all my thread except cotton does not like velvet, or the combination of velvet and sweatshirt-jersey fabric.
