		<description>The limit for importing goods is £18.  These days all packages go through the Mount Pleasant sorting office (Royal Mail) so that they can charge the duties and of course collect the £8. I used to buy loads of my supplies from the US but since the royal mail&#039;s fee went up from £1 to £8, I have given in.  I would love to know how the PO justify the fee.

		<description>I think it all works out in their favour in the end Liz - for every one you get away with, you pay 2x the duty on another.  It&#039;s annoying when the duty is applied when you&#039;re least expecting it - for sure, your bolt of stuff will be charged and no doubt, you&#039;ll factor that in?

I agree that the charge for applying the charge is somehow rather ridiculous.  As if we had a choice?
