Hello. My name's Liz Plummer and I'm a Textile Artist. I love the texture of fabric. I love dyeing it and painting it and stitching into it. This blog is about the influences on my work, inspiration, my daily life, and the processes of creating. Enjoy!

Recent Work

If you read my blog regularly, you’ll know that I have been making a series based on reeds and have been photographing some local reeds each month to trace their growth through the year.

Reeds 1 is block printed and painted using found objects with fabric paints on cotton sateen and backed with lutradur. Reeds 2 is screen printed and painted with found objects on cotton sateen, also backed with lutradur. Reeds 3 is transfer printed on polyester voile and screen printed using paper lamination and finally painted with fabric paints using found objects.
