Filling the image bank

We went on holiday to Pembrokeshire, in West Wales, last week. I only booked it the previous Saturday and it was a wonderful break. We stayed at Knock Farm, a farmhouse bed and breakfast, a lovely comfortable place with scrumptious breakfasts – fruit salad and yoghurt, bacon, eggs, sausages, toast, cereal, the lot! Yummy. I’ll post some photos of where we went later in the week, but here are a few images which will serve to inspire me over the next few months and keep me going amidst the washing and cleaning and everything else of which my daily life consists during the school term. Crumbs. That sentence was a bit convoluted…

waves breaking on a beach

I love the lacy look of these waves. We were up on the coastal path at the top of the cliffs at the time – the Pembrokeshire coast path runs all along the coast. The kids tended to object to the amount of time we spent walking it. Maybe when they leave home we can spend entire holidays doing it!

stones and pebbles on beach

We did go to the beach a few times too, of course.

rock formations

There were some amazing rock formations on one of them.

cave in rocks

This one had a layer of rust on it from the iron in it! I wish I lived there… I would be adding some fabric installations to it for a few weeks…

orange/yellow lichen on rock

Look at the wonderful colour of this lichen on another rock.

Great photos! I’m very jealous!! I can’t wait to go back to Pembrokeshire. I think it’s my favourite place.
