The First Frost of Winter

Remember the nasturtium I planted this summer?

yellow nasturtium

Last week it suddenly went cold.  I went into the garden and took quite a few more photos than I meant to.

It’s all droopy…

I love the way the frost accentuates the veins – it reminds me of a spider’s web.

This looks like a fairy umbrella.

The frost re-enchants everything.

Fantastic photos! sorry I haven’t used any thermofax screens yet, but I’m very interested. I have a friend who has made some. So I will try and get her to email you.

Beautiful pictures. I like most the little “umbrella”.
I’m astonished the way those flowers behave with you. Here they turn soft and yellow with the first hit of frost.
What a pity that I forgotten last spring to put some seeds in, otherwise I would have a closer look during coming cold weather.
